Many mangrove islands, bay networks, oyster bars and tidal creeks are in this region and also help attract fish.

Government protected fishing spots

There is a large estuary in Florida called The Charlotte Harbor, and it houses clean water plentiful with mangroves and grass beds to support all kinds of underwater specimens. Its purpose is to preserve the water quality and aquatic ecosystem, so it is under strict governmental regulations. Other large estuaries include Rookery Bay and Ten Thousand Islands. There is discussion to turn the top portion of Ten thousand Islands into a National Wildlife refuge since the bottom portion is part of Everglades Natural Park.

Florida is just bursting with aquatic life preservation estuaries, while also housing vast areas that contain an abundance of spots to dive into serious saltwater fishing.
